From A2 to A
Held A2 for at least two years? A practical upgrade test takes you to unrestricted category A.
Requirements
Category A2 held for at least 2 years and a minimum age of 20.
Theory
After at least two years in the previous category, no new theory test or fixed theory course is required for the progressive upgrade.
Your practical preparation
The number of practice lessons depends on your experience. We assess your skills and practise handling, manoeuvres and safe riding in traffic. No fixed minimum number of lessons applies to this upgrade.
Test
You take a practical upgrade test. Your instructor books it once you are ready. We discuss the application, costs and dates with you first.
